1 ♡ 1 ✍ April 22 Today marked my very first #triathlon ❤️🏊♀️🚴🏻♀️🏃♀️ I signed up for a tri back in September but it was cancelled and it was the last tri of the season. So, I decided to sign up for one of the first triathlons this year. I learned so much today! It matters what triathlon you sign up to do. This triathlon was chaotic. The trails were not clearly marked and there was not enough volunteer help. 👎 It was freezing! 💨☁️ It was windy! The swim was in a pool 🏊♀️ so it was fun. The bike 🚴🏻♀️ was on a highway with a small shoulder. The first 6 miles were uphill with a strong headwind. I had no idea where the turn around spot was, luckily, there was a guy in his car stopping traffic so we could turn. The last 6 miles were back downhill and fast! The wi d pushed me all the way back. I barely had to pedal. The run🏃♀️ was terrible. I changed my shoes and started out on the road only to turn too soon. We had to squeeze through a gate to get to the trail. I though once we were on the tail it would be fine but then the trail split! We had no idea where to go. We just kept guessing. Finally we saw the aid station and she was absolutely no help. So we just ran back to the finish line. 😂 I am so grateful to @melanieiverson for training with me and doing this triathlon with me. I feel so lucky to ha r her in my life right now. ❤️ Thanks to @triathlontaren for making awesome #youtube videos so I could learn about triathlon training and for the awesome training plan. Thanks to my sweet husband @nerdburg for supporting my crazy ideas. And thanks to my parents @pattie5260 for always being there for me. I am so lucky to have these amazing people my side. Thanks to @jillianmichaels and @toneitup for great meal and training plans. I’m in the best shape of my life! ❤️ to all my followers for your kind words! 2 ♡ 0 ✍ April 22 Why do I find jellyfish so beautiful? Scroll to see underwater footage from my GoPro of the jellyfish swimming next to me. The water is a little murky in the video, but still beautiful to watch. I was also shocked when I pulled my arm out of the water and found a little crab had latched onto my watch.
